Product:  Meant to be about a child that gets kidnapped, but it's a bit too long.  Other possibilities are recreating Monty Python sketches.  SUGGESTION:  make your own story, make a quick short story.

Theme:  Machinima is rising as an art form, much like cartoons, or comic books.  Machinima is opening up further ground for people to be able to create a visual story/plotline.  NEED TO expand and compare Machinima vs. other filmmaking styles.   Use of Machinima in history / recreation of battles.

Anticipate your audience:  What is your audience going to say/feel/think when you first tell them about machinima?  You need to win your audience, and get them to beleive that machinima is worthwhile, interesting, creative, intellectual, artistic, and NOT just another video game / geek hobby.

Articles! :D

Found the article I was looking for!
Its from PCGames MMORE 08/2010 Ausgabe 30
It's a 10 page article (in german) about creating machinima, some famous machinima, WoW machinima, etc.
I guess I can use it for research although in German, since I speak it fluently (correct me if I'm wrong my wonderful supervisor! :))
Ill scan it tomorrow, for now
Good night!

Progress with Research

Here is my research so far;
-14 pages of an interview with TauriMovies
- ~4 pages of history and information on machinima from teh interwebz (not yet done)
-A series of video tutorials done by one of the most famous machinimators

Also planning;
An article in a book (library is needed for that)
A magazine article (have a couple in german)
More pages with information from teh interwebz.

Also after the interview with Tauri, and finding out how long a machinima takes, the script was stripped down a little. I think it's better now. Shorter, cleaner, packed with WoW references :)

TauriMovies interview!

The interview was done! :D
However Tauri asked for me to do it through chat, so there is quite some reading to do!
I just have to edit the small typos we've made, and it's ready to upload!
Unfortunately the WoW I got on a memory stick was a trial version, so I'll ask one of my windows WoW players to copy theirs.
Cheers!

Oh boy wondrous news!

Hello there!
Yesterday I arrived back home after 2 wonderful weeks in France, and am now updating you on whats going on in this WoW machinima world of mine.
Two big news really;
1. I have WoW installed on windows! :D Hell it took ages, but I finally managed by copying it onto a memory stick from a friend and then onto the computer. w00t!
2. This is the big one. As part of my research, I will be interviewing a machinimator! Not only that he is also part of machinima realm! (which is the youtube channel that promotes the created machinima) TauriMovies has kindly agreed to be interviewed on skype, the interview will probably happen sometime this week, and will then be uploaded onto youtube. *excited* This will also be his first interview, and my first time interviewing someone so we're both excited! Thanks TauriMovies!

With that said, the script needs some finishing touches and will be uploaded onto deviantART (so it doesnt spoil the surprise if you accidentally read it here :))
Hope everyone is having a great holiday!
Cheers!
